Duvel “Bill” White, PhD is a doctorally trained epidemiologist and data analytics leader specializing in health surveillance, injury and illness data systems, and advanced analytics. He most recently served as Director of OSHA’s Office of Statistical Analysis, where he led national electronic injury and illness data collection, processing, analysis, and communication to inform enforcement, policy, and prevention strategies. Bill brings more than 20 years of experience applying epidemiologic and analytic methods to large, complex health and workforce datasets across federal organizations. His work includes leading global health surveillance and alert operations for the Department of Defense, developing interactive GIS-based analytics platforms, and managing enterprise-level health surveillance reporting systems. He has extensive experience translating analytic insights into actionable intelligence for U.S. Government decision-makers, medical practitioners, and public audiences. Recognized as a collaborative and results-driven leader, Bill has led analytics teams in high-stakes environments spanning occupational safety and health, public health emergency response, and medical intelligence. He holds a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence polygraph.

Ricky Gonzales

VP for Data Science

Ricky Gonzales brings more than a decade of experience leading data science initiatives for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, where he served as the agency’s first Chief Data Scientist reporting directly to the head of OSHA. While at OSHA, Ricky helped modernize the agency’s approach to using data to promote transparency, perform rigorous program evaluation, and drive increased organizational efficiency to help reduce workplace injuries and deaths in the country. Prior to OSHA, Ricky tackled data science projects for multiple high profile national campaigns—including helping to optimize the digital analytics program for a successful presidential campaign and implementing a machine learning-based approach to maximizing enrollment in affordable health insurance plans for a multi-million-dollar consumer outreach campaign. In addition to his extensive knowledge of labor, safety, and health data, Ricky brings a deep curiosity to working with novel datasets and enjoys figuring out how to best leverage AI and data science tools to answer tough questions for an organization. Ricky is a graduate of Harvard University, where he received a BA with high honors in History & Science and pursued doctoral studies in Health Policy with a focus on statistical methods.
